Golden Oyster Mushroom(Pleurotus citrinopileatus)
Pleurotus citrinopileatus, a variety of oyster mushrooms known for it’s nutty flavor and brilliant bright yellow color. With thin caps, it often forms vibrant large clusters
Golden, delicate, and soft in texture – this mushroom variety, is a delicacy across many countries with it’s cashew-like flavor imparting anti-inflammatory properties in your meals!
Temperature: For this variety of oyster mushroom, we recommend a temperature of 19 C to 29 C (pinning can be initiated at 18 C as well but fruit body development will happen better over 20 C)

Ordered 500gm, received 2pkts of 250each. 1 pkt was good one but another one was old spawn not usable.

Thanks for your feedback. As we have explained over call- NuvoSpawn is sent out to you at different stages, but it is always dispatched from our facility fully colonized and ready to use. When the spawn is aged longer at our facility, it can develop thick white mycelium, in comparison younger spawn has a lighter mycelium.
Please keep in mind that this varies according to the species, as some have mycelial growth which looks totally different. As spawn grows, it begins to break down the substrate it is growing on, resulting in small patches of brown on the exterior of the spawn and/or in a yellow fluid that can collect at the bottom of the spawn bag. This doesn’t mean that the spawn is old or unusable.
There is no reason to worry about this as these are all normal characteristics of spawn!
